Kate Morris to Speak at the Annual “Damages in Civil Litigation” and “Advanced Intellectual Property Law” Conferences

Hosch & Morris co-founding member Kate Morris will speak at the 16th Annual Damages in Civil Litigation Course and 37th Annual Course: Advanced Intellectual Property Law Course, both hosted online by the State Bar of Texas and Texas Bar CLE, and broadcast from February 1-2, 2024, and with rebroadcasts later scheduled.

At 9:00 AM CST on Friday, February 2nd, Kate will present at the Damages in Civil Litigation Conference, “From Bytes to Bucks: Understanding Trends, Damages, and Ethics in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Law.” Her presentation will follow her paper under the same name, and provide an overview of important developments in data privacy law and technology, including generative artificial intelligence (AI).

At 10:45 AM CST, Kate will present at Advanced Intellectual Property Law, “Don’t Mess with Data Privacy & Cybersecurity, Y’all.” Her presentation will similarly follow her paper under the same name, and highlight how data privacy and related cybersecurity requirements are developing in this age of exponential technological advancement.
