Kate Morris to Speak at Advanced Intellectual Property Law conference

Hosch & Morris co-founding member Kate Morris will speak at the 36th Annual Course: Advanced Intellectual Property Law, hosted by the State Bar of Texas in Houston, which will run from February 23rd-24th.  The conference will focus on educational programs and information exchanges about new or proposed developments in the intellectual property field.

At 9:15 AM CST on Thursday, February 23rd, Morris will present “Actions Speak Louder than Words: Privacy Update and Guide for Addressing Evolving Risks.”  Her presentation will follow her article under the same name, and highlight data privacy and related cybersecurity trends in the United States. She will cover pressing issues, including officer and director liability, the latest litigation trends, and regulatory scrutiny of cyber-related disclosures and data practices, including behavioral advertising, reliance on service providers, and collection of geolocation data.
