Privacy Post-Dobbs

On November 3rd, Kate Morris be joining the Dallas Bar Association’s special program on "The Legal Implications of the U.S. Supreme Court's Dobbs Decision and the Related Texas Legislation." The title of her presentation is "Privacy Post-Dobbs."

In this CLE, Kate will focus on how the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision will impact women’s rights and may also reshape the legal landscape as we know it.  While the word “privacy” isn’t found in the U.S. Constitution, “privacy” long pre-dates Roe v. Wade and forms the basis of many fundamental rights. She will explore how “privacy” has been argued over the years to define what it means to be a “person” (and an American).  She also cover data privacy and privacy torts and consider how to protect one’s privacy today.
